7 Staff and one standout is Katrina Zelenski, our senior processor, who has played a pivotal role in streamlining our operations and mentoring new team members. With over a decade of mortgage experience and a deep understanding of loan structuring, Katrina joined us during a period of rapid growth and quickly became the backbone of our processing team. Her commitment to excellence and client satisfaction has helped us maintain a strong reputation with both lenders and borrowers.

While Castle Group Mortgage was officially established under its current structure in 2024, several team members, including leadership, have been in the mortgage industry since as far back as 2007. Their combined experience and resilience through major market changes—including the 2008 crash and the COVID-era refinance boom—have shaped our client-first approach and commitment to sustainable growth.

The founder of Castle Group Mortgage, Joseph R. Castillo, entered the mortgage industry in 2007 with a passion for helping families and investors navigate the often-complicated world of real estate financing. Coming from a family with limited exposure to business ownership, he became the first to establish and grow a company of this scale. Before launching Castle Group Mortgage, he built his career working with both traditional and non-traditional lenders, gaining firsthand experience in everything from FHA and VA loans to private and business-purpose lending. The company was born out of a desire to offer white-glove service and tailored solutions that go beyond cookie-cutter lending. Like many entrepreneurs, Joseph faced significant challenges—including market shifts, regulatory changes, and staffing hurdles—but his vision and resilience have kept the company expanding, now serving clients nationwide. His journey reflects a blend of faith, determination, and a deep commitment to financial empowerment.

One of our most memorable customer experiences came from helping a self-employed veteran who had been turned down by multiple lenders due to inconsistent income and a complex tax situation. He came to Castle Group Mortgage feeling frustrated and discouraged, thinking homeownership was out of reach.
