Word of mouth and facebook ads. Also google ads but I don’t count it because I had zero return.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

I had the privilege of providing a client with their first gender-affirming haircut a few months ago. They came in with some apprehension, but after talking about what they wanted, they felt reassured. When they saw their reflection the look on their face was pure joy. It was more than just a haircut; it was a significant step in their journey of self-acceptance and identity, and I was deeply honored to be a part of that transformative moment.

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

There are great hairstylists all over town but the way I approach things is a little different as a trauma-aware, inclusive business owner. There is a lot of emotion around hair. A “good hair day” can make you feel invincible On the flip side, a bad haircut can be traumatic and affect someone’s self-esteem. I put the emotions of getting your hair done into consideration. I know not everyone has had great experiences with getting their haircut or having someone need to be in their “personal bubble.” I take the extra time to hold space for my clients to create a safe space for them to love their hair.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

I offer chair massage during color processing! I also offer Cranial Sacral. It’s a gentle modality I like to describe as “a hard reset for your nervous system.” A cranial sacral session can be booked stand-alone or as an add-on at the shampoo bowl.
