All training uses nationally recognized program materials and certification and is OSHA compliant. Our CPR, First Aid and Wilderness First Aid trainings are compliant with BSA (Boy Scouts of America), Girl Scouts and NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) standards. BLS courses comply with medical, dental and physical therapy boards. Pet Tech Pet First Aid and PetSaver programs are AKC (American Kennel Club) accepted.

HSI (Health and Safety Institute) Training Center, All Instructors are HSI certified instructors. Also, AHA (American Heart Association) certified instructor, and ECSI (Emergency Care & Safety Institute) certified instructor, PetTech certified instructor

We have 3 main employees and a co-op of other instructors to serve our customers. Deanna has been with the company since the beginning, currently 11 years.

What is the story behind your business?

Staying Alive LLC is a family owned and operated business that was begun as a better way to provide quality, professional CPR and First Aid instruction and certification in the Phoenix valley. Having worked in the business for years, Ms. Young saw a great need for honesty, integrity and professionalism of instructors and their training centers. She believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR and First Aid at reasonable rates.

 

After countless emergency room visits, hospital stays, doctor visits, ASHI training and lots of research, Deanna Young has developed a deep knowledge of how to recognize and deal with many life threatening conditions, such as countless pneumonias and heart attacks. She has spent more than 13 years volunteering with local Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts as a leader and as First Aid merit badge counselor and instructor.

 

Helping people is what she does best, just like a guardian angel. She is now teaching others to do the same; to be someone’s guardian angel.

We have MULTIPLE students who have shared their experiences with us. Students love the interaction in class, and they know we will make it a fun, memorable experience.

 

One of our students has shared that after taking a class with us, she saved 2 lives! A stranger in the park who had passed out from the heat and her son who choked on a piece of candy.

 

Another student shared how she saved her dog from choking on a bone after taking our pet first aid class.

 

Yet another shared how she was able to help herself after being thrown from a horse.

We care. Our Students are the reason we teach. We want them to have the best, most accurate information, presented in a simple easy to remember way, so that they can use the training in real life. We make sure that each student gets the best training for their needs and we make it fun.

 

And, we are a Human Resource Manager’s best friend. We make it simple. HR just schedules our services and schedules the staff. We do the rest, beginning with making sure that staff gets the best training based on the company’s needs. We send all certifications to the HR representative for office records, and we follow up as the certifications get close to expiration, to get the next class scheduled.
