As a child, it was lemonade stands, ticket sales for in-home concerts, and babysitting – I was always looking for opportunities to build and run a business. As I grew, I learned that my heart was in helping others and I continued to seek opportunities where I could make a difference. Out of college, I helped run a busy insurance office providing exceptional service and coverage to clients of all ages and backgrounds with a wide product offering. My career lead me on to a successful decade in corporate customer service, training, leadership, and development for financial products where I worked with thousands of clients, financial advisors, and internal teammates. Although I was able to make a significant impact in my corporate role, I missed the opportunity to work directly with clients, building long-lasting relationships where I could make an even more substantial difference. I knew I had a greater purpose and could fulfill it by opening my own independent insurance agency in my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. The skills that I had previously learned, along with intense industry training, studying, and developing, has helped prepare me for the privilege of owning The Legacy Guardians. I am beyond blessed to serve my community and help protect what matters most to each of my customers.
Everyone’s comfortability and experience with insurance and financial products is different. For some, it can be very overwhelming and complicated. I pride myself in simplifying the process, educating my clients on their coverages, and providing exceptional service along the way.
One client was very confused about her mortgage’s escrow process and was hesitant to switch insurance at first, even though it could save her thousands a year to do so. Not only did I verbally explain the process of cancelling the old policy and how the new one would be paid, but I helped her with cancellation letters, as well as a three-way call to the mortgage company to ensure she understood their specific process. Once the refund check came from her old carrier, she knew exactly what to do because of our pre-coaching conversation, but I gladly helped her along the way to put her at ease. She was very thankful to have my expert guidance and direction to streamline the process.
