What Services or Products does your business provide?

We have a great variety of flooring to choose from. We will also recommend contractors or installers that we have known & trusted for many years.

What types of advertising are you currently doing and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past? (It’s ok if it isn’t IndoorMedia 😊)

Indoor Media. Our customers are our greatest source for advertising in the past and currently.

Are there any certifications, awards, or media recognition for the business? Please include certifications that may seem obvious, like certification from the board of health for restaurants.

We strongly support our community Churches, Fire & Police Depts., American Legion and families in need by donating flooring products or financially.

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

We currently have one employee who has been with us since June 2008. Mary is knowledgeable and friendly with everyone she meets. She has educated herself on the products in the store. She listens to her customers needs & ideas and also encourages them to let her know how the products are holding up, good & bad so she can let future customers know that information.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

The opportunity to open this flooring store just happened to be at the right time. The community needed a local business for their flooring needs. I am a realtor for this area, so this seemed like a good opportunity and has been successful all these years.
There are always challenges in life, you just evaluate the issues and find a resolution.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

It is a great feeling to have your customers let you know they were happy with the experience they had with our store. They will come back with flowers, plants, even lunch for my employee, just to say Thank you for helping them with their choices. Also, good to hear a new customer come in and say, “We were told by our neighbors or a local vendor to come check out your store”. That is a wonderful thing to hear.

 

 

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

We have a good variety of flooring (carpet, tile, laminate) and prices to select from. Customers will comment on the surprise of the selection of products we have to offer. Shopping around is a good thing. We like to let our customers know about the products they are interested in, so they are knowledgeable when comparing products from other stores. It can be very overwhelming with so many products on the market. We want to be sure they have a better idea of what to look for or ask about.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

We do encourage our customers to take product samples home with them. They need to see it in their homes natural lighting, day & night. If needed, we can drop off or pick up samples at their home or business.
