Hyannis sound is an all-male professional a cappella group comprised of college-aged men from across the country. Each year the group holds a nationwide search for new talent to spend the summer performing at a variety of venues across Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The group was founded in 1994 and has now been in existence for nearly 30 years. It is run entirely by the ten men who are members in a given summer. There are members in charge of booking performances, leading rehearsals, managing social media, and more. The group has a vast repertoire that spans decades and genres which is necessary for the wide variety of events at which they perform. Every summer is full of public performances including a weekly concert series and private events spanning from birthdays to weddings to anniversaries and everything in between. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group began posting on Tik Tok eventually gaining 1.3 million followers and getting the chance to do a virtual collaboration with Alicia Keys.
