We provide comprehensive foot and ankle care for patients of all ages, from routine podiatric treatment to advanced surgical procedures. Our services include sports injury management, diabetic foot care, custom orthotics, wound care, bunion and heel pain treatment, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, and many more. We are a DME-accredited clinic, offering in-house bracing and medical equipment for faster recovery and convenience. We also offer alternative therapies like shockwave therapy, laser therapy, PRP and stem cell therapy. Our goal is to help every patient walk without pain and get back to doing what they love.

We are currently only doing the Kroger shopping carts for advertising. We have used Google Ads before, and they were fine but not great. We get a lot of great feedback on our shopping cart ads.

Dr. Matthew Cerniglia, founder of Ankle and Foot Institute of Texas, is board-certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, and the Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society.

Dr. Cerniglia is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on advanced surgical techniques and has been recognized for his contributions to podiatric medicine and education.

His extensive training includes a two-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hillcrest Health Center in Oklahoma City, and his academic excellence earned him Cum Laude honors from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago.

We have a dedicated team of five employees who collaborate to deliver exceptional patient care. Our office manager, Cathy Garcia, was first introduced to the clinic when her husband became a patient. Her personal connection to our care inspired her to join the team, and her compassion continues to shine through every patient interaction. Alongside Tabitha, Yuri, Love Joy, and Lali, she helps create a warm, family-like environment that our patients truly appreciate.

At Ankle and Foot Institute of Texas, exceptional care goes far beyond our clinic walls. For Dr. Matthew Cerniglia, podiatry isn’t just a profession – it’s a calling to serve others, no matter where they are.

Dr. Cerniglia has traveled multiple times, over the years, to mountain villages of Honduras, where access to medical care is scarce and many people live without the means to see a doctor. He has joined small teams of volunteer physicians to provide foot and ankle care to those in need – farmers, children, and the elderly who walk miles each day on rough terrain, often in worn shoes or barefoot.

Many of these patients had lived with deformities and pain for years, believing help wasn’t possible. Dr. Cerniglia treated infections, performed procedures, fitted braces, and taught these patients how to protect their feet from injury and infection.

One encounter that stood out was a boy who had used crutches to walk most of his life. The boy was able to receive a procedure by Dr. Cerniglia and his team that corrected his deformity, and by their next visit, the boy was walking without crutches. He had come to visit their team to thank them, and it had been an extremely emotional time. That moment captured the true meaning of medicine – restoring dignity, mobility, and hope.
