What Services or Products does your business provide?

We are a full-service furniture and appliance store offering everything you need to furnish and equip your home. From stylish sofas, sectionals, recliners, dining sets, bedroom collections, and mattresses to reliable appliances, TVs, and entertainment centers, we carry trusted major brands including La-Z-Boy, Ashley, Serta, Whirlpool, and Maytag.

What types of advertising are you currently doing and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past? (It’s ok if it isn’t IndoorMedia 😊)

We do newspaper, radio, OTT, Social Media, and IndoorMedia

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

We currently have 9 employees. April and John have both been here 20+ years and are the heart of the business. They know furniture inside and out and can help with any problem you may have.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

We are a family-owned and operated business. Bill Knott started the store in 1976 and his son, Darren, bought it in 2021. Doing business in a small town can be hard, but the fact that we’ve been open 50 years shows that we’ve been able to deliver quality furniture at great prices.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

One customer story we’ll never forget: After a tough divorce left her credit in ruins years ago, a woman came to us needing basic furniture to start over. We worked with her every step of the way, helped her get approved, and gave her the fresh start she deserved. Seeing her walk out smiling—and later hearing she rebuilt her credit—made every day here worthwhile.

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

In our small community, shopping for furniture isn’t just a transaction—it’s personal. We see our customers every day: at the grocery store, the local events, or even waving from across the street. That’s why we treat every person who walks through our doors like a neighbor and a friend, not just another sale.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

We have two businesses within Bill’s Home Furnishings. The first is Fix-It Pros, a full-service appliance repair business. We also have Sportsman’s Corner where we sell sporting goods geared to area from rifles, ammo, optics, suppressors, camo and fishing gear.
