What Services or Products does your business provide?

I offer barbering services, including fades, straight razor shaves, braids, locs, and trims. I also offer cosmetologist services, including color, layers, braids, facials, facial waxing, ears, and nose.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

Well, I am the owner, self-employed, no partnerships or backup plan. In September, I found out my good friend and owner of the shop I was at for 7 years was officially retiring. Even though the plan was for me to take over his location, realistically, the small team I had just couldn’t cover the expenses. So I had 30 days to come up with a plan for myself and my family to make money with a 12-year license and experience. My love for the craft in the beauty industry is the only consistent background I have, but I knew I didn’t want to work under someone else. So with encouragement, I opened my first suite. It was challenging, stressful, and I was full of fear and doubt, but I had to take that leap of faith and jump.

I have been open for about a month now, things are moving forward, and I’m excited for the future.

I always go over and beyond for my clients. I will accommodate them in emergencies, work late nights for special events, and work schedules.

Dual license provider

I can provide anything from natural hair styling, silk press, braids, locs, to chemical services, relaxers, color, highlights, to barbering, fades, tapers, edge ups, straight razor shaves with hot towels.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

We offer waxing services.
