What types of advertising are you currently doing and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past? (It’s ok if it isn’t IndoorMedia 😊)

We sent out ads/coupons via USPS to the surrounding homes. We also promote on social media and word of mouth is a big tool we use. Also when on the road doing events with our food trailer we promote there as well. We put up 5′ x 5′ banners around the city. We also passed out flyers and coupons.

Are there any certifications, awards, or media recognition for the business? Please include certifications that may seem obvious, like certification from the board of health for restaurants.

We won 2 awards for runner up in a food contest in Sonoma county fair. We were on a channel 5 news special when we were apart of the Alameda county fair. We were in a article in the Stockton newspaper in 2024.

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

We have 10 employees.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

Since childhood, our founder Anthony D. White Sr has always had a craving for good food, from savory snacks to sweets eats. But there was one problem… he was never able to find a place that had it all under one roof. He was always on the hunt for the ultimate sweet spot but constantly had to settle for the local ice cream parlor. But one day Anthony had enough. So he decided if he couldn’t find that special spot, he was going to create one!

In 2017, the Whites purchased their first food trailer and joined the County Fair circuit in Northern California. After only two great beginning years, the 2020 pandemic forced fairs & festivals to shut down all throughout California. With their backs against the wall and money getting tight, they decided to get their fair-food trailer converted to a street-food trailer. It was one of the smartest decisions the family could have made.

Shortly after the big change their company was blessed to have started acquiring a great deal of public, private, and corporate catering opportunities and then found a permanent location. Both have helped propel Dough’in Batter into the food service business they are today. Soon to open their first brick and mortar restaurant, D’in B is excited to provide the people with a place to sit and enjoy the full experience of what they do.

Headed into the future with nothing but love, hard work, and determination from all team members the company strives to achieve the goal of having Dough’in Batter locations everywhere, so that every family can enjoy and share the yummy deliciousness they have to offer.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

Review from Sierra VIA Yelp –
“New family owned dessert spot that just opened up here in Manteca! You may recognize the name from their food truck at the Lathrop food plaza. This family has put a lot of time, effort, energy, and love into making this restaurant happen and we were so happy to stop by for their opening weekend and show our support. They offer a large variety of flavors and menu items to choose from including beignets, crepes, waffles, ice cream, etc. My personal favorites so far are the lechera crepes, chicken Parmesan crepes, and fruity pebble crepes. Fruit toppings are fresh and delicious. I unfortunately did not get a picture of the menu but you can visit their website or social media pages directly to access it! The inside of the restaurant is clean and open and has lots of custom decor that fits the overall theme of the brand perfectly. Employees were very welcoming and kind throughout our entire visit. Highly recommend stopping by and treating yourself and your families to a sweet treat! This family deserves the community’s love and support!! Congrats on the opening guys!! Wishing you the best!! We’ll definitely be back :)”

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

We have lots of options. We sell our products at a great price. Our customer service is excellent. We do not charge extra to substitute simple things like filling, drizzles, fruits, etc. Our facilities are very clean. The atmosphere is great and fun, especially the colors.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

We offer catering in lots of ways. We can do drop off, we can bring our wonderful food trailer out, we can set up in a canopy, commissary kitchen, rental kitchen or in some special cases a home.
