What Services or Products does your business provide?

We provide residential and commercial cleaning services. That includes vacation rental cleaning and move-in/move-out cleaning.

What types of advertising are you currently doing and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past? (It’s ok if it isn’t IndoorMedia 😊)

IndoorMedia to be printed on Smith’s receipts. Recently started advertising in a local movie theater. I tried advertising on school folders at a local elementary school – no success. We had a booth at a local fair, but no success. Word of mouth has been the most successful so far. Our Google profile brought in new clients until we changed our name to GCS Cleaners (formerly Goncalves Cleaning Service), when we made the switch we lost status with Google.

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

Roneide was the only member of his family to attend and graduate college. He moved from Brazil with the hope of a better life. He saw other Brazilians find success with cleaning businesses and this became his dream. He worked with a cleaning company in Michigan to learn and gain skills. Upon moving to Utah in early 2023, he opened a cleaning business with his wife. Husband and wife worked side by side building up clientele. At then end of 2023, they hired their first employee. Roneide still cleans daily in the business while his wife manages the business from home. Roneide and Melissa take great pride in the work of their business and recognize the importance of good work and happy customers.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

From an actual Google review: When I saw what GCS was able to do to my kitchen, it honestly felt like a fairytale!! I can hardly recognize my floors!, and places I didn’t even know could be cleaned are shining. I came downstairs this morning and was blown away by the difference, even on day 2! With 2 boys, things can get disaster-prone fast but even they were motivated to pick up after they saw how wonderful the house could look. There’s one deep windowsill in particular that I have never, ever been able to get clean, despite many attempts with many different products. For the first time, the sun is shining off the reflection of the clean tile and I don’t have the desperate need to try and scrub it because it is actually clean!! They came promptly at the exact time scheduled and were so kind and personable. I felt completely at ease and honestly, this was better than a day at the spa. GCS is amazing and I recommend them to anyone!!

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

We charge hourly for our services, so we are happy to help with any extras you might need.
