I received my esthetician license from the Board of Barbers and Cosmetology in 2020.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

I am the first person in my family to start a business! I was looking for a small booth to do eyebrow threading, and I rented a small room, but it was canceled! I quickly started looking for another location at the beginning of 2020 and found this location. When I started, I was only offering eyebrow threading services; then it evolved into waxing, facials, and lashes once I received my esthetician license mid-year 2020. About that time, COVID hit, and I had to close my doors for 8 months! During that time, I made a plethora of renovations to my place of business, adding 3 private rooms for waxing and facials, and 2 barber chairs for performing the eyebrow threading. Also adding counter space, couches, and other amenities to ensure my customers were comfortable. Most people saw COVID as a harsh time, but for me it was not so bad. I used it as a learning experience in how to not only have a business, but have a successful business that people enjoy utilizing for the services I offer!

I have a great customer experience every time one walks through the door! My customers always post for me on their socials, showing the good job I do. They always support me, so I support them as well and ensure I provide the best service I possibly can. My customers have been very loyal since the beginning. Some have moved away and still drive to me to have their eyebrows, lashes, and facials done by me!

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

I provide them with the best service, a comfortable environment, and a great experience, always. I am very engaged with my customers, both new and returning! I love them!

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

I also offer makeup, hairstyling, and microblading.
