Ky & Rob’s HVAC+ provides honest, high-quality HVAC and refrigeration services to residential and commercial clients in the Ogden, Utah area. We specialize in AC repair, furnace maintenance, ductwork, mini split installations, and full system installs. We also provide system diagnostics, indoor air quality solutions, and seasonal maintenance to keep systems running efficiently.

What types of advertising are you currently doing and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past? (It’s ok if it isn’t IndoorMedia 😊)

We’ve mainly focused on word-of-mouth, Google, Yelp, and organic reviews. Recently we’ve been working to improve our visibility on search engines and map listings, including Google Business Profile and Apple Maps. Most of our success has come from satisfied customers referring us to friends and family or leaving great reviews online.

Are there any certifications, awards, or media recognition for the business? Please include certifications that may seem obvious, like certification from the board of health for restaurants.

We are licensed and insured for HVAC and refrigeration work in the state of Utah. While we are still a growing business, our 5-star customer reviews and reputation for honest, transparent service are what we’re most proud of.

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

We are currently a small team but dedicated team. Kyler is hands-on with every project to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. We’re in the process of hiring an additional team member to help support the growing demand for our services and maintain our high standards.

Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

Rob originally founded the company as Rob’s HVAC+, building a reputation for honest, high-quality HVAC work in the local community. About a year later, Kyler joined him in the field, bringing a strong work ethic and drive to learn the trade hands-on. The two worked side-by-side for several years until Rob retired, and Kyler purchased the business to continue its legacy. Now operating as Ky & Rob’s HVAC+, Kyler is proud to carry the torch – expanding the business, supporting his growing family, and providing the same reliable comfort solutions their customers have always counted on. Even without a formal business background, Kyler stepped into ownership with integrity, a commitment to excellence, and a genuine passion for helping others.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

Just recently, a customer called because their AC system kept freezing up during hot afternoons. The unit had been serviced before, but the issue kept coming back, leaving them frustrated and uncomfortable. Kyler showed up the same day, took his time inspecting the ductwork, air filters, and airflow measurements, and noticed the returns were undersized for the system. He explained things clearly and recommended adding ceiling-height returns to help pull the warmer air from the top of the room and prevent the coil from freezing up again. The customer was so relieved to finally get an accurate diagnosis – not just a temporary fix. After completing the work, the system has been running perfectly, even during 100-degree days. The customer left a glowing review saying Kyler was genuine, knowledgeable, and took the time to do things right.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

In addition to our core HVAC services, we offer indoor air quality solutions like air purifier installation, duct inspections, and filter upgrades. We also perform system optimization checks and can advise customers on energy efficiency improvements to help lower their utility bills. For commercial clients, we offer refrigeration services and scheduled maintenance plans.
