If you’ve ever stopped by Salt & Brew, chances are you’ve been greeted by Morgan—our amazing cashier who’s always ready with a matcha recommendation and the inside scoop on our secret menu (yes, it exists!).

Morgan has been such a bright light in our crew. We’ve loved watching her confidence grow as she’s become more comfortable taking orders, chatting with customers, and truly owning her role. She brings warmth, kindness, and a whole lot of personality to our space.

A little about Morgan: she has Mosaic Down Syndrome, but that has never defined her. She’s defied every expectation and continues to inspire us with her determination and heart.

Jennifer first met Jesus as a little girl, thanks to a persistent childhood friend who never stopped inviting her over on Saturdays—just so they’d be at church together on Sunday morning. That friend probably had no idea the seed she was planting, but it took root. Jennifer found Jesus in those early years and experienced that unshakable peace only He can give.

As life moved forward, though, the noise of growing up and stepping into adulthood slowly quieted her faith. It wasn’t rebellion—just distraction. Then came two beautiful daughters and a busy season of motherhood that left little space for much beyond survival. Her faith became something she cherished in memory but didn’t always have the capacity to practice.

But God wasn’t finished with her story.

Another persistent family came along—different people, same God. They welcomed Jennifer’s family in, invited them to church, and gently helped pull her back to a life of faith. This time, Jennifer said yes not just for her kids, but for herself. She started attending regularly, joined a Freedom group, and through that experience, encountered the true, healing freedom that Christ offers. She let go of shame, striving, and years of lies she’d carried quietly.

And now? Jennifer wakes up each day with a renewed sense of purpose—one God placed in her heart and hands. For her, that purpose looks like a small-town coffee shop with a big mission. Salt & Brew is more than coffee—it’s about brewing blessings into every cup and sharing the love of Jesus through the most simple, intentional acts.

Every cup is prayed over before ever reaching a customer. Jennifer asks God to place each cup in the hands of the person who needs that specific verse or handwritten message the most. From “you are not alone” to “shine bright,” these little notes have sparked tears, conversations, and testimonies—because that’s what happens when we create space for God to move.

Jennifer has seen it firsthand: stories shared, hearts softened, and lives impacted over a cup of coffee. That’s the power of walking in obedience. And she’s committed to continuing—one cup, one customer, one God-appointed moment at a time.
