How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

Currently, there are 5 employees, including Dr. Adams. Rebecca, the hospital administrator, and Allie, one of our veterinary assistants, both worked with Dr. Adams at previous hospitals. With a strong belief in patient care and going above and beyond, we have all worked together to create this veterinary practice.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

Many years ago, after having her first daughter, Dr. Adams worked as an independent relief doctor at various hospitals around San Diego. She named this business “Seacoast Veterinary Services.” Once her daughter was older, Dr. Adams took a job at a large, multi-doctor practice and loved the team-oriented approach. After many years, that hospital was bought by a corporation and seemed to lose its personality and family-oriented feeling.

This motivated Dr. Adams to open her own hospital, especially in light of corporations recently buying many more local veterinary hospitals, right here in North County. Her story has now come full circle as a brick and mortar, full-service hospital under the name Seacoast Animal Health Center. Every aspect of this hospital has been meticulously planned and Dr. Adams has been incredibly involved in the process of building and managing Seacoast.

Seacoast Animal Health Center is entirely family-owned–not a single corporate dollar has gone into this practice. Further, Dr. Adams strives to provide the highest quality of care for her patients as well as create a positive, collaborative atmosphere for her employees.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

Our whole foundation is in providing great customer service from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. Expect to be greeted at the door by name and with treats for your pet! Our receptionist will check you in and your pet will get their first visit photo with our new patient board. A dedicated nurse will come in to take a history and assist in the exam with the doctor. You can expect the doctor not to rush through your appointment. It is our goal for you to understand every part of your visit and to leave with no unanswered questions. Your nurse will always present an estimate prior to services as we strive for transparency in all aspects of our hospital. You will have the same nurse for your whole appointment, so there is no uncertainty on anything related to your pets care during their visit. You will be walked out by that same nurse and we will help you to your car if needed!

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

We are a family-owned and woman-owned practice. We are here to provide lifelong, exceptional care for pets and their families in a collaborative and compassionate environment. Our goal is to know each and every patient through all stages of life. We go above and beyond to be present in your pets care. You can expect a unique experience, support, and care every step of the way.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

We offer payment plans through Cherry or CareCredit

We offer 3% cash discounts

We do international health certificates

Our phone number can be texted at any time and even after hours for urgent assistance from one of our nurses at no charge!
