In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

I first began frequenting The Juice House in Garwood some ten years ago on a recommendation from a friend. I instantly fell in love with the product, as well as the ethos of the company. Shortly thereafter, I did my first 3-day juice cleanse, provided by The Juice House. I credit this juice cleanse as the catalyst that began my journey into health and wellness, and ultimately set me on the path to open my first business. Years later, when the owners announced their plan to franchise, I knew I had to be a part of it.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

A woman came in with her two kids (high school age), but only got something for herself. We chatted for a bit about my store and our product offerings. Naturally, I inquired if the kids had ever tried an acai bowl. Indeed they had, but they were frequent customers of another well-known competitor of ours. In jest, I told them that if they try one of our bowls that they may not go back to that other place. They laughed, but did not budge. While making the woman’s bowl, I snuck two free samples of our most popular acai bowl into her bag for the kids to try. They come in two or three times a week consistently since that day. I try to go above and beyond to get our product into the hands of potential customers because I know they are going to love it once they try it.

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

Being that we are a smaller, local franchise, we are able to really focus in on the details. We use premium ingredients in all of our menu offerings. We do not use any syrups or added sugars in any of our recipes. All of our produce is fresh and delivered every one to two days. All of our spices, dry toppings, nut butters, protein powders, etc are all organic and premium quality. We take dietary restrictions very seriously and offer plenty of nut-free, gluten-free and vegan options. Majority of our menu offerings are customizable so we should have an option for just about anyone. Our products prove that food can taste good and be good for you.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.
