What Services or Products does your business provide?

The Tolovana Group LLC provides comprehensive residential remodeling services, along with select commercial remodeling projects tailored to our clients’ needs.

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

We have around 10 employees, not including subcontractors. We’re also proud to provide opportunities for young adults who are interested in learning the trade.

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

I’m Lamar Easterwood with Tolovana Group LLC. After graduating from high school, I became partners with my father in his remodeling and construction business. Including those early years, I have more than 45 years of experience in the industry.

As my father prepared to retire, I brought my son on as a partner about six years ago. After my father passed away, we renamed the company Tolovana Group LLC in his honor, inspired by the USS Tolovana, the Navy ship he served on.

With decades of experience and the values my father taught us about delivering the highest quality workmanship, we’ve built a strong reputation based on referrals and customer satisfaction. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you and provide the same level of quality service our clients have come to expect.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

I’ve had one customer hire us for three different projects, along with referral jobs from his coworkers, and on the last job, he even referred to me as a friend. My hope is to continue building lasting relationships with customers that go beyond just the work itself.

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

As my Dad would say, “Good construction doesn’t cost, it pays!”

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

A lot of people may be doing one project on their home and not realize we can do pretty much everything on the residential side. We can do a lot on the commercial side as well.
