What Services or Products does your business provide?

We provide specialty, custom or regular donuts along with all types of coffee and drinks, including but not limited to Lattes, espresso, drip coffee, hot chocolate, iced coffee and other cold drinks. We have over 40 different flavors of donuts that are made fresh daily. We can also make custom designs and flavors.

What types of advertising have you done?

Yelp has been successful in the past, otherwise, we do social media.

Tell us about any certifications, awards, or media recognition your business has received.

We have many recognitions in the community including outstanding women owned business of the year in 2022. Best of OC in 2018 for Donut shops.

Tell us about your employees: how many, and are there any with unique stories?

We have 7 employees. We sponsor a program with the local high school that has an Adult Training program for adults that have special circumstances that need assistance in work experience. The county sponsored one special adult, Ernesto, for a while and then we were able to hire him since he learned how to work with us.

Tell us the story of how the owner or partners started this business.

We are a mother-daughter owned business. We started Zombee Donuts because we love baking and, of course, we love Zombie movies and shows. This is a traditional. My grandmother owned a restaurant and so did my mom. So now, Vanessa (daughter) and me (Marie, mother) opened this bakeshop together to make a new tradition. We have faced many challenges over the last 9 years. One very big challenge that everyone encountered was Covid. We stayed open and was able to survive. We are proud of our shop and our progress over the last 9 years.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

We pride ourselves on customer service. We have a great themed clean shop that gives customers a unique experience. Our donuts are themed as well as tasty. WE only sell fresh product and hire friendly employees that will talk to you to get to know you.

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

You should consider our business because we are different then the normal donut shop. We use the highest quality products including natural palm oil instead of lard to fry our donuts. We make everything on site fresh everyday and our variety is amazing and to Die For and live again and again (like a zombie).

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about?

We do custom orders and catering. So we can cater donuts and coffee for your event or wedding.
